Feel the Love on Martha’s Vineyard This Winter
Valentine’s day has evolved a lot since the days of paper cards, high school candy-grams and secret crushes. Nowadays, February 14th marks a day of romanticism, love and celebrating your relationships. While couples share the love all year long, it’s nice to have a whole day dedicated to a single emotion; after all it’s what our business is built on!
Whatever your ideal version of V-day includes– this island has a lot of love to share and is the perfect destination for a romantic, winter getaway. Catch the Vineyard on a crisp, sunny winter’s day – snow glittering against a blue sky while waves crash into the shore and you may never want to leave.
Below are some February island happenings and specials that will make for one cozy weekend retreat.

Visit the Spa: One of our island favorites, Sea Spa Salon, offers winter specials throughout the season, but if you’re here for Valentine’s Day – check out their “Valentine’s Truffle Snuggle.” This package includes a couples massage, champagne toast and chocolate covered strawberries.

Romancing The Oyster: Foodies mark your calendars! On February 11th , the Harborview Hotel will host a one-of-a-kind event for oyster lovers. Romancing The Oyster will not only wow you with oyster themed dishes and multiple raw bars, but will also fill you with knowledge about oyster farms, recycling shells and shellfishing. For more details visit:www.harborview.com/events
Lucy Vincent Beach Stroll: Visiting Lucy Vincent Beach in the winter is one of our favorite Saturday morning activities. Lucy Vincent is a stunning, private beach located in Chilmark, but is open to the public in the off-season. On a clear day, you can see miles down the Vineyard coast and enjoy the calmness of the ocean. We suggest grabbing a breakfast sandwich and coffee at7a, in West Tisbury, on the way before cruising down South Road towards the beach. Their breakfast sandwiches are made on delicious homemade biscuits and they’ve always got hot Chilmark Coffee brewing.
Whether you visit the Vineyard for Valentine’s Day or make a late February getaway, we’re sure that Martha won’t disappoint – she deserves the love year-round too 🙂
