KG Events & Design Five Year Anniversary Holiday Party

Christmas in Edgartown is one of our favorite events on the island, so last year, we decided to do what we do best – throw a party!  Celebrating five years as a business, during the holiday season, gave us good reason to invite our closest friends, co-workers, and vendors to join in the festivity.

From invitations to menus to decor and design, we transformed our office space into the most extraordinary holiday venue.  Guests savored small bites from the cheese board, oyster bar, and passed hors d’oeuvres, but not without stopping at the bar for a holiday cocktail, or helping themselves at the Hot Toddy Station. Next door, we filled the dance floor, which kept everyone warm on the cold December’s night.  We had so much fun hosting our first office holiday party! It was the perfect way to celebrate another successful event season with everyone who made it possible.

Are you planning a holiday event? Here are some pro-tips to ensure that your guests are taken care of:

  • Provide a coat rack or coat closet designated to store coats for the evening.  Grabbing a cocktail, quick bite, and greeting others will guarantee that their hands will be full for a majority of the evening. No guest will feel truly comfortable if they are burdened by their coat!
  • Serve something warm to keep your guests cozy.  Some examples include Hot Toddies, warm winter soups, and blankets at each lounge space.
  • Incorporate soft, twinkling lights.  Nothing screams christmas time more than twinkly lights! Light the fire, and adorn your house or venue with twinkly lighting that will invite your guests to stay awhile.
  • Give back: Open up the opportunity for guests to arrive with non-perishable foods, coats for a coat drive, or a fiscal contribution to your favorite charity.  It is, after all, the season of giving.

Happy Holidays to you and yours, we can not wait to see you in 2020!
